SOMETHING FOR THE WEEKEND!

What is it all about?

It’s a lot like THE BIG PUSH and a little bit like KING OF THE ROAD.

Grab your crew, grab a camera and get ready for the best head to head street skateboarding event on the south coast!

You have 72 hours to hit the streets and get as much footage as you can. Then you have 2 weeks to put it all together and submit an edited video before it goes online and people can start to vote.

Videos will be premiered and online voting will go live at the JOHN HANSARD GALLERY on GO SKATEBOARDING DAY!

No skateparks!
10 minute max length + 1 minute insta promo
Team up to 5 including camera operator (who is encouraged to skate) and give yourself a name.
Footage must be captured inside an “SO”and “PO30’s” postcodes only! (If you go to SLS you can film 1 day of YOUR TEAM skating in London)
MP4 format
SUBMISSION DEADLINE 23:59pm 15th June

IMPORTANT NOTES

We have compiled a selection of music to avoid any copyright issues that are included in your TEAM PACK. You don’t have to use these tracks as we encourage you to approach local bands for music which will earn you BONUS POINTS. You can pick something “mainstream” but remember that YouTube might restrict the use of it and hinder the ability for people to see and vote for it.

PLEASE USE A CAMERA! We understand it’s not always easy to acquire fancy equipment but if you can avoid using your phone you will have much more fun (we promise!) Those who go the extra mile and use “Old school” cameras and capture methods will receive BONUS POINTS towards their BEST EDIT score (Super 8, VHS, Hi-8, DV etc)

TAKE PHOTOS! We want photos to be submitted for a feature in #3 of @soskatezine. These must be 300dpi JPEGs of landed tricks shot over the same weekend. This is your opportunity to get some images in a real life printed magazine so GO GET IT!
